Titomic, a metal AM company based in Australia, has signed a distribution agreement with Turkey-based BTech Innovation. As an authorized Titomic partner, BTech Innovation will distribute Titomic Kinetic Fusion (TKF) systems and metal powders to the Turkish market, while also providing local technical support and maintenance services to customers in the aerospace and defense industries, among others.
Within Turkey, BTech Innovation is a leading distributor of 3D printing systems, software and materials. Today, the company represents companies including GE Additive’s Arcam, Materialise, Formlabs, Prodways, Sisma, FARO and others. Based on this extensive experience in the additive manufacturing sector, Titomic has chosen to enlist BTech as a reseller for its own metal 3D printing platform.
“This partnership to distribute TKF systems and metal powders in Turkey further validates Titomic’s industrial scale metal additive manufacturing capability with one of the leading global suppliers of digital manufacturing solutions and 3D printing systems, BTech,” said Jeff Lang, Managing Director of Titomic. “With the large-scale OEM manufacturing and sales leads Titomic is currently engaged in with defence and aerospace primes in Turkey, BTech is the perfect strategic partner to realise Titomic’s significant revenue opportunities as part of Turkey’s USD$2 trillion GDP growth plan by 2023 as the country pushes to be one of the world’s top 10 global economies.”
Through the distribution agreement, BTech will offer a range of Titomic products and services, including the TKF1000, TKF9000 and TKF Production Line Systems; metal powder consumables; consultation, design and prototyping services; and OEM production (either by Titomic or a customer).
Kuntay Aktas, CEO of BTech, said of the partnership: “Over the past 5 years, we put a lot of effort into Metal AM and helped top leading companies to benefit from the advantages of the Powder Bed Fusion technology. Now it is time to move on and print the biggest parts possible, with exotic materials at the higher production rate and size of the Titomic Kinetic Fusion technology.
“We are pleased to partner with Titomic and introduce such a groundbreaking technology to the Turkish Additive Manufacturing Community. I am very confident, aviation, defence, oil and gas, automotive and many other industries will be adopt the TKF technology to manufacture large titanium parts, have functional coatings, join dissimilar materials and many future applications. As always, we will provide our technical know-how to companies, in order to speed up their adaptation process to these Metal Additive Manufacturing technologies.”
