Techmer PM appoints Erika Mitchell as VP of supply chain

Techmer PM appointed Ms. Erika Mitchell to serve as the firm’s vice president of supply chain. The move comes just months after Techmer PM announced it had hired Michael McHenry as chief operating officer. This latest move inscribes itself in what CEO John Manuck said are steps to enable the company that he founded “to expand its footprint to allow it to better serve customers no matter where they are in the world.”
After earning her MBA in supply chain management from Michigan State University in 2004, Mitchell held senior positions with both specialty adhesives maker H.B. Fuller Co. and polymer supplier PolyOne Corp. (now Avient Corp.). Her most recent post was as VP of global supply chain for the Performance, Alloys & Composites unit of specialty metals maker Materion Corp.
Mitchell says her goal is “to create a robust sales inventory and operations planning process, create a truly integrated supply chain that is customer-focused, and make sure we have the right materials in the right places at the right time.” Techmer already has many of the right people and pieces in place, as well as a very customer-focused culture, she says.
Mitchell, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Michigan in 1998, currently lives in Avon, Ohio, near Cleveland. She and her family plan to relocate to Knoxville, Tenn., in June 2021.
“I know I can add value here,” she says. “This will be a challenging but exciting journey for me, so I am confident that this is the right move.”
