Sintavia adds NADCAP accreditation to its aerospace AM certifications

After a rigorous yearlong application process, metal additive manufacturing company Sintavia, LLC. has successfully received National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP) approval for its laser and electron beam powder bed fusion technologies. With the NADCAP accreditation under its belt, the company will be able to further pursue and advance aerospace applications with its metal AM systems.

The NAPCAP accreditation is not the first achieved by the Tier One company, as the company also announced it had received AS9100 Revision D certification for aerospace additive manufacturing this past November. The certifications are enabling the company to improve its own processes and to meet requirements and demands in the aerospace field.

Our customers know that we offer high quality, cost-effective metal AM production, and the NADCAP accreditation is an outstanding third-party validation of this.”

With a fleet of top-of-the-line metal 3D printers in operation (including systems from EOS, Concept Laser, SLM Solutions and Arcam), industrial-grade post-processing equipment and extensive mechanical testing equipment, Sintavia serves a range of industries, including the aerospace, defense, oil & natural gas and automotive sectors.

Recently, the Florida-based company brought on Honeywell Aerospace as a client, becoming the first company to receive internal approval for manufacturing production parts for Honeywell Aerospace using powder bed fusion AM processes. With additional qualifications confirmed, the company seems poised to expand its aerospace manufacturing even more.

Achieving NADCAP accreditation further ensures to our customers that our procedures, processes and personnel are operating at the highest levels in industry. Sintavia is also planning to pursue more NADCAP certifications in the coming months for other manufacturing and post processing equipment, including heat treatment, machining and non-destructive testing.
