The upcoming Apple TV series Severance, which deals with a high-tech way to achieve a work-life balance, features a room with hundreds of Stratasys F370 3D printers.

While it is not the first cameo of a 3D printer in a popular TV series, it is one of the first times that 3D printers are shown as large-scale digital production devices within a giant 3D printer farm.

The show also recognizes the style and design of one of the Stratasys F370 3D printers, which have marked a radical shift in the design of 3D printers, to resemble more closely the powerful and futuristic digital manufacturing tools that they are.

Apple TV series Severance, which deals with work-life balance, features a room with dozens of Stratasys F370 3D printers.

From Ben Stiller and creator Dan Erickson, Severance centers around Mark Scout (Adam Scott), a leader of a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives.

This experiment in ‘work-life balance’ is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself.

Severance features Adam Scott, who stars alongside Academy-Award winner Patricia Arquette, Emmy-winner John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus and Academy Award winner Christopher Walken.

Update: not as many of the machines appearing in the Severance scene were renders as might have imagined. Below is a shot of one batch of machines as it leaves the Stratasys facility. It was posted by Stratasys SVP – Strategic Growth, Patrick Carey.
