Redefine Meat launches plant-based whole cuts in Europe, Israel

High-end restaurants in UK, Germany, Netherlands and Israel to serve the 3D printed alt-meat products

Redefine Meat, a pioneer of plant-based meat-like products, has marked yet another milestone in its journey. The company, which uses 3D printing in its food production, has launched the first ever plant-based whole cuts that closely resemble real meat products. The New-Meat products will be available at a select number of high-end restaurants in the UK, Germany, Netherlands and Israel.

What’s on Redefine Meat’s latest menu menu? A number of products that are sure to get your mouth watering, including plant-based beef and lamb cuts, premium burgers, sausages, lamb kebabs and ground beef. The versatility of its New-Meat products will enable chefs to develop and prepare various meals using the plant-based products and impress diners—especially meat lovers who are still wary about cutting back on real meat consumption.

Redefine Meat plant-based whole cuts

Redefine Meat’s alternative meat products are truly an innovation, as the company utilizes many cutting edge processes, like material science, AI and 3D printing, in their production. In fact, the company’s patented 3D printing process is key to the creation of plant-based edibles that both taste and, crucially, feel like real meat. Thanks in part to a significant funding round in early 2021, the company has been able to progress steadily with the commercialization of its New-Meat products.

Ultimately, the company hopes it products will offer a more sustainable alternative for people who enjoy cooking with and eating meat but who want to consume fewer animal products. Already, Redefine Meat’s products have been hailed by various chefs, including British Michelin-starred chef Marco Pierre White, Dutch TV personality Ron Blaauw, head chef at Berlin’s Michelin-starred FACIL restaurant Joachim Gerner and Israeli chef Shahaf Shabtay.

“When I first tasted Redefine Meat, I was mind-blown,” said White, the youngest chef to be awarded three Michelin stars. “The world needs to eat less meat, but the reality is that until now plant-based meat products have fallen way short in terms of the quality and versatility required for our menus. Renowned chef Shabtay added: “Redefine Meat has created an ingredient that allows me to unleash full creativity and create dream menus whatever the cuisine. As a chef, the ability to cook for every type of diner – vegetarian, vegan, kosher and more – without barriers or compromise, using a variety of techniques including roasting, grilling, and slow cooking, is quite simply incredible.”
