Recreus introduces Conductive Filaflex TPU filament

An electrically conductive flexible filament

Stay up to date with everything that is happening in the wonderful world of AM via our LinkedIn community.

Recreus introduced Conductive Filaflex, the new electrically conductive TPU flexible filament for 3D printing. Conductive Filaflex is the new flexible, electrically conductive TPU filament, ideal for manufacturing electrically conductive parts or components and for creating wearable devices.

At Recreus we continue to innovate, and this time we continue to bring innovations and solutions in the field of flexible materials for FDM by launching a filament with two of the most coveted properties in 3D printing, flexibility and conductivity.

The new Conductive Filaflex is a flexible filament with a 92A Shore hardness and an electrical resistance of approximately 3.9 Ω-cm. It is a TPU filament with a lot of potential designed for the manufacture of electrically conductive parts and components and is ideal for the creation of wearable devices.

In addition, it can also be used for printing electrically conductive circuits used in flexible electronics, such as electromagnetic signal isolators, pressure-sensitive buttons, or for interfacing computers, joysticks, Arduino, digital keyboards, trackpads, or even surface electrodes, among many other applications.

Conductive Filaflex has at its disposal a whole field of infinite possibilities, and that is why, after its launch a couple of months ago, it was quickly sold out. Now, after its recent restocking, this new and exclusive high potential filament is available again, and in very limited units.

The material melts at a printing temperature of between 245°C and 250ºC and must be printed very slowly at a speed of 20 mm/s. It is available and for sale on Recreus’ website in 500 grams format, in both diameters (1.75 mm and 2.85 mm) and exclusively in black color.

For more information about the printing parameters, consult the TDS document and the product sheet available on the company’s website.
