PrintLab launches Dutch version of 3D printing classroom curriculum

UK-based 3D printing education company PrintLab has further expanded its AM-focused curriculum offering by introducing a Dutch-language version of its classroom learning platform. The Dutch version, created in collaboration with Dutch 3D Technology and Education supplier De Rekenwinkel, is the fourth language edition of the curriculum, following English, Greek and Polish. A Spanish edition is reportedly also in the works with a planned release in Q1 2020.

With PrintLab’s 3D printing curriculum, teachers in the Netherlands and other Dutch-speaking regions will be able to offer their students comprehensive and engaging educational content about 3D printing. The program includes a range of projects and lessons (which are updated every month), which are geared not only to students but to the teachers to equip them with the necessary learning tools.

PrintLabs’ educational platform includes information about subject areas and learning criteria, downloadable presentations and student workbooks, step-by-step lesson preparation information and delivery information, as well as teacher training and lesson practice video tutorials.

The curriculum bundle is aimed at enabling teachers to integrate 3D printing not only into the classroom but into other educational areas, such as science, engineering, arts, maths, geography and more. PrintLab Classroom also comes equipped with a number of certification courses and a range of difficulty levels. For instance, students can graduate from TinkerCAD to Fusion 360 for more challenging projects.

PrintLab Dutch curriculum

With the release of the Dutch version of the platform, De Rekenwinkel will become a reseller of PrintLab’s 3D printing curriculum in the Benelux region (including Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Nick Mayor, Co-Founder at PrintLab, commented on the release, saying: “Since launch, we have seen a huge amount of interest in PrintLab Classroom resources from around the world. PrintLab Dutch curriculum

Today, PrintLab Classroom is already in use across 25 countries around the world, though the developer hopes its learning tools will become more widely accessible with more language versions.
