New York State OGS expands IT Umbrella Contract to include AM

The New York State OGS (Office of General Services) is expanding its offerings for commodities and services under its Information Technology Umbrella Contract – Manufacturer Based to include additional contractors. Currently, OGS is seeking to expand the IT Umbrella Contract – Manufacturer Based to include manufacturers of emerging technologies and additive manufacturing (AM) products such as scanners, software, 3D printers, and other associated commodities.

This centralized statewide contract award provides information technology (IT) products and related services to all authorized users of OGS contracts throughout the state of New York, which includes: state agencies; local governments; public primary and secondary school districts, including private schools; colleges and universities, including the State University of New York (SUNY) and City University of New York (CUNY); qualifying charitable and non-profit organizations, including fire districts; hospitals and other medical institutions; public authorities; and public benefit corporations. Additionally, this contract is extendible, and offerings may be made available for use by all governmental entities throughout the United States.
As the authorized users of this contract award cover a very large customer base with potentially very different needs, ranging from elementary schools to post-doctoral research laboratories to high fashion institutes to public libraries, OGS is seeking to offer the full breadth of additive manufacturing offerings under this contract award, including plastic, metal, medical, biological, ceramic, and construction materials.
The existing statewide centralized contract award and its associated documentation, including a listing of current contractors and resellers along with their price lists for commodities and services, can be found on the OGS website.
The new solicitation for the IT Umbrella Contract – Manufacturer Based will be advertised through the New York State Contract Reporter and will be posted in its entirety through the OGS Procurement Services Bid Opportunities webpage.
