Multistation to distribute Wematter SLS 3D printers in France

Leading French 3D printer distributor Multistation signed a collaboration agreement to distribute the Gravity SLS 3D-printing ecosystem from Wematter in France.
“Since more than 30 years, we are looking for the best disruptive companies. We have identified Wematter as a very innovative company not only for its technology but also for its business model. The goal is to make SLS 3D Printing accessible to as many people as possible,” commented Yannick Loisance, CEO of Multistation.
Wematter Gravity is a ground-breaking and easy-to-use SLS 3D printing platform for final parts production. Together with the water-jet cleaning cabinet, powder collector and patented post-processing and powder handling system, this technology represents one of the ideal solutions for in-house additive manufacturing parts production available today. Moreover, Wematter’s used powder is recycled for new print jobs. This system allows users to reduce both costs and impacts on the environment.
Wematter’s technology offers a reliable and professional solution that can be implemented everywhere without the need for a specific installation. “We are pleased to now start a collaboration with Multistation as a partner in France. This is part of our international investment that is now being made and engages various retailers around the world,” added Robert Kniola, founder and CEO of Wematter.
Wematter launched the Gravity 2021 3D printer, a new thermal additive manufacturing system that boast automation capable of removing certain maintenance activities. This latest printer builds the Swedish company’s profile as a user-centric manufacturer. The Gravity is Wematter’s most advanced product to date. Its improvements over previous print systems include a reinforced recoater and upgraded thermal design. The company launched a water-jet cleaning cabinet with improved ergonomics, named Density 2021, alongside the new printer. The company also announced the Inertia, a unit that collects and recycles unsintered powder after printing.
Wematter launched the new Gravity 2021 system at the end of 2020. Many of the new innovative features that Gravity 2021 has been integrated with completely remove certain maintenance steps and the machine provides a more smooth sintering process with the help of the software’s new algorithms.
Thanks to Wematter’s experience in its own mechanics and knowledge of the SLS process, Gravity 2021 is equipped with a completely new recoater system. By further encapsulating the construction, no moving parts are worn during operation. Thanks to this detail, two out of ten steps are eliminated during each cleaning of the machine’s build-chamber. Set-up time for each job is also reduced.
