James Reeves, currently Global Director of Polymer Sintering at voxeljet, is joining Enable, a binder jetting AM service provider determined to grow into a £15M revenue business over the next 5 years, as a Non-executive Director. Reeves is a highly regarded leader and influencer in the additive manufacturing market and has a deep understanding of market trends, technical developments, and strategic understanding of how to successfully navigate in the Additive Manufacturing industry.
Enable Manufacturing was founded in October 2019 and brought Additive Casting, a new hybrid manufacturing technology to the market, combining 3D printing with traditional manufacturing. Despite the challenging economic climate caused by the COVID-19 pandemic during 2020, Enable has successfully launched its technology to the market and is looking ahead to future growth.
Mr. Reeves has worked in technology development and commercialization in manufacturing sectors throughout his career for large companies, consultancies and start-ups. He has operated in the automotive, aerospace and electronics sectors both as a business leader and an engineer. This experience has given him a great blend of technical and commercial acumen (Chartered Engineer with IET and Diploma in Directorship from IoD), making him ideal to take the strategic lead and advisory role in a high-tech business such as Enable.
“I have closely watched the developments in the Additive Manufacturing market over the past years, especially when it comes to the manufacturing of metal parts,” Reeves said “I strongly believe that Enable’s Additive Casting technology will play a major role in the production of metal parts as it ensures quality and scalability whilst keeping production costs low. I’m looking forward to working with the team at Enable during this exciting time.”
The appointment of James was an important step in Enable’s strategic roadmap to further grow the Additive Casting proposition and gain increased market traction.
“Having James on board at such a critical time in our business growth roadmap is crucial. His contribution will help the team shape the strategic direction and tactical tools to succeed in the global Additive Manufacturing market,” commented Phil Kilburn, Sales Director.
