Jabil Acquires the First Commercially Available DragonFly 2020 Electronics 3D Printer

Nano Dimension Technologies has signed up Jabil as its first commercial customer. Jabil is a product solutions company providing comprehensive electronics design, production and product management services to global electronics and technology companies. According to the agreement, Jabil will lease the DragonFly 2020 3D printer from Nano Dimension. The company will likely be the first to offer a commercial electronics 3D printing service.

Jabil is the first customer that will receive Nano Dimension’s commercial DragonFly 2020 3D printer. The agreement with Jabil is a part of Nano Dimension’s transition to commercial sales. The company previously announced the completion of recruitment to its beta program and that it met the targets for its beta program. Jabil was also one of the very first company to offer HP’s multijet fusion 3D printing technology for larger batch, mass customized part production.

Nano Dimension is disrupting, reshaping and defining the future of how electronics are made. With its unique 3D printing technologies, Nano Dimension is targeting the growing demand for electronic devices that require increasingly sophisticated features and rely on printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Demand for circuitry, including PCBs – which are the heart of every electronic device – covers a diverse range of industries, including consumer electronics, medical devices, defense, aerospace, automotive, IoT and telecom. These sectors can all benefit greatly from Nano Dimension’s 3D printed electronics solutions for rapid prototyping and short-run manufacturing.
