The expansion of 3ntr, the Italian company known for its industrial 3D printers, crosses the Atlantic: Plural Additive Manufacturing (Plural) is now the sole U.S. provider of printers, technical support, and services for 3ntr systems.

Founded by Davide Ardizzoia, 3ntr is a company that focused on production grade 3D printers from the very beginning. Its A4v3 and extra large A2v2 systems have been able to stand out for the extreme accuracy and repeatability of their 3D printing process.

An entire Zortrax M200 fits inside the 3ntr A2v2

With high extrusion temperatures and a fully enclosed printing chamber, 3ntr 3D printers are able to work with a very wide range of high performance materials including  IGLIDUR (the tribologic – aka self lubricating – filament by Igus) as well as NylonCarbon or PA66+Glass composites, PolyCarbonate (PC), PC-ABS, PETG, TPU (flexible) and SSU01 (3ntr’s current support material).

Portland based Plural will now be able to offer these 3D printing capabilities to its customers. “We will be launching in the U.S. in the near future and are very excited about our relationship with 3ntr,” says Ed Israel, Co-Founder in charge of Business Development, with co-founder Tom Kasson, who is in charge of Vision and Operations at Plural AM.

“We are excited because the printers are the best combination of quality and pricing we have found in our worldwide search and working with Davide Ardizzoia and his company is a sheer pleasure. Having great products and great and responsive people behind them is a dream in this world of widespread sub-par quality and customer service. We will replicate this model for our customers in the U.S.”

Reliability means you can fill the print bed and have every single object come out perfectly

The part finish and the versatility of 3ntr 3D printers is universally recognized as already being capable to match what is expected from substantially more expensive systems. This is matched by the added bonus of multiple material printing with real end-use polymers. The machines are already being used both for prototyping and serial production in several high-tech sectors, including automotive and aerospace.

”We are excited to be working with absolutely brilliant people like Tom McKasson and Ed Israel,” commented Davide Ardizzoia. “We could not find a better partner to do business with North American customers. The partnership is set to bring real production systems at cost-effective prices to U.S. customers. Both SMB and large industrial manufacturers will gain a significant competitive boost from the adoption of 3ntr’s and Plural’s offerings.”
