HP expands availability of 3DaaS Plus subscription
The subscription model is now available in 15 countries

As of today, HP’s 3D-as-a-Service (3DaaS) Plus subscription model is more broadly available. The pay-per-use service, which builds on HP’s existing 3DaaS Base subscription, is now offered to customers in the U.S., Italy, Germany, UK, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Portugal and Sweden.
The all-inclusive 3D printing subscription model was launched to give manufacturers and businesses access to HP’s Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing technology as well as more flexibility as they scale up production. To date, the 3DaaS Plus model has been implemented by Wallbox, a manufacturer of EV charging stations; Robotechnik, a producer of inspection solutions in solar manufacturing; HIPP medical, a manufacturer of cutting tools for the medical sector; and others.
“HP’s all-inclusive 3D printing subscription services enable customers to produce high-quality parts at an economic price point while improving their capital and business flexibility, which is more important today than ever,” explained Rebecca Campbell, Director of 3D Printing Services at HP Inc. “With the expansion of our 3DaaS Plus subscription, we are making it easier for companies to continue the important job of manufacturing, leveraging our predictable pay-per-use model that unlocks more agility and value.”
The 3DaaS Plus subscription model comes with HP’s Jet Fusion 340 3D printer, as well as all the necessary supplies, services, customer support and training. HP says the 3DaaS Plus solution is the “easiest and most economical way” for businesses to gain access to its MJF process as they seek to improve in-house rapid prototyping and final part production. HP’s 3DaaS Base subscription is available for the HP Jet Fusion 5200, HP Jet Fusion 4200 and HP Jet Fusion 500 systems.
The 3DaaS Plus solution is also designed to simplify the supplies ordering process and inventory management by offering automatic supply replenishment, an online dashboard for tracking billing and usage and access to support and training services.
“One of the pillars of our product design is to make really compact yet powerful chargers. From this vision arose the necessity for a state-of-the-art integration between mechanics and electronics,” said Eduard Castañeda, Chief Product Officer of Wallbox. “HP’s 3DaaS Plus helps us be even more agile in today’s rapidly changing environment and meet high customer expectations.”
