To meet strong demand for consulting in additive manufacturing, Multistation SAS is regrouping its activities in this field within a specialized subsidiary: ADDITIV3X. The goal is to separate the sale of new and used machines from additive manufacturing consulting services. ADDITIV3X continues the partnership initialized with SEGULA TECHNOLOGIES.
Multistation, a Paris, France, based leading player in the field of additive manufacturing, is thus bringing together in a subsidiary its consulting and services activities to help its customers develop their industrial potential through 3D printing. ADDITIV3X will provide high-level services throughout the value chain of additive manufacturing, from product-process qualification to the integration of these technologies in specific industrial environments, such as automotive, aerospace or still energy.
Multistation will transfer to ADDITIV3X its know-how in design and simulation for additive manufacturing, as well as identification of use cases or parts that can be produced in 3D printing.
“The market is asking us to separate our commercial business from the supply of new and used equipment from the consulting approach. We are indeed seeing a growing demand from potential users of additive manufacturing that solicit us before moving to the investment phase, ADDITIV3X will be fully able to support its customers independently to make additive manufacturing an industrial reality. At the same time, Multistation, which is facing a strong increase in the demand for machinery, will be better able to concentrate on the development of its marketplace, “commented Yannick Loisance, CEO of Multistation.
“ADDITIV3X, through its mastery of the additive manufacturing value chain, imposes itself as a partner of choice so that its Additive Consulting business can better respond to the concerns of manufacturers. We will be able to provide them with a wide range of quality engineering services, adapted to a large number of sectors.
of activities that precede the investment phase,” said Romain Chaudron, director of ADDITIV3X and former manager at Multistation of the Additive Consulting business. “ADDITIV3X will offer its customers independent extended services in project management throughout the value chain of additive manufacturing, in France and internationally”
ADDITIV3X is a unique entry point to support future users in their implementation and industrialization of additive manufacturing processes. The company’s expertise will cover the different 3D metal and non-metal printing processes with a particular focus on DFAM (design for additive manufacturing) and quality control. ADDITIV3X will rely not only on the skills of the additive consulting division staff from Multistation but also on its international network of partners with experience in additive project management in a particular industry sector. In particular, the partnership formed last year between Multistation and SEGULA Technologies.
