These visors at the first Nightingale in London used 3D printed frames:

The ones used at the Nightingale were printed by 3D Systems UK to our design (v7.2). A modified version that has been designed for injection moulding has been developed using 3D printed prototypes for evaluation (v8.9.3). You can see the injection moulded version in the attached image. You can see an overview of the development work behind the Nightingale and then injection moulded versions of our visor here: https://vimeo.com/411348284

Our visors are registered designs so we can provide reassurance to contract 3D printing companies that they would have freedom to operate via a license from us. Whilst injection moulding is clearly the scaleable route to shortages, we full appreciate the lead times involved in sparking tooling for them and that 3D printed parts are invaluable in addressing supply chain failures in the interim.
