Formnext Forum Tokyo postponed to 2022

As the largest outbreak of Covid-19 to date continues to affect Japan, the public health outlook for the foreseeable future remains uncertain. Taking the current situation seriously, Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd has made the difficult decision to postpone the upcoming Formnext Forum Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 28 – 29 September 2021 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center, Hamamatsucho Hall, the event will be held in a new time slot of October 2022 at the same venue.
As a leading business platform for the additive manufacturing industry, Formnext Forum Tokyo has gradually expanded in scale since its launch in 2019. Prior to its postponement, the 2021 edition had gathered 39 exhibitors as of August. “It is very distressing to take this decision at the last minute. However, we believe this option is in the best interest of all the related parties and stakeholder groups from both a safety and business standpoint.” said Mr. Yasushi Kajiwara, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd. “Overcoming this setback, Formnext Forum Tokyo will return stronger in 2022 to provide opportunities for business discussions and information exchanges on AM.”
In light of the postponement, a number of scheduled seminars will now be held online (in Japanese only) starting from 28 September. The next edition of Formnext Forum Tokyo will be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center, Hamamatsucho Hall from 27 – 28 October 2022.
Held annually, Formnext Forum Tokyo attracts a broad spectrum of visitors and has established itself as an indispensable event for the entire spectrum of industrial AM stakeholders. The event covers an array of advanced technology and all of the upstream and downstream AM processes and equipment, including materials, powder metallurgy, design, software, and post-processing technologies.
