ExOne opens new Metal 3D Printing Adoption Center in Germany
New 270 sqm facility offers end-to-end binder jetting adoption services
ExOne, a global leader in industrial sand and metal 3D printers using binder jetting technology, opened its new Metal 3D Printing Adoption Center at its European headquarter in Gersthofen (Germany).
“Now, manufacturers throughout Europe can benefit from locally produced binder jetted metal designs and benchmarks along with world-class engineering consultation and support,” said John Hartner, ExOne’s CEO. “We encourage manufacturers to take advantage of the high speed, low cost, and industry-leading quality that our patented binder jetting technology can deliver for even the most complex designs.”
This investment expands on ExOne’s longtime Adoption Center in Europe that 3D prints sand molds and cores for metal casting customers. The new 270-square-meter Metal Adoption Center now offers manufacturers end-to-end engineering services for direct metal 3D printing, including benchmarks, design support, and materials, process, and work cell development.
The world’s largest metal binder jet 3D printer, the X1 160Pro, developed and manufactured in Germany since 2020, is the result of our combined global competencies, production sand binder jetting expertise in Europe with the U.S. metal specialists.
Advantages of the new Metal Adoption Center in Europe include the ability to assess customer requirements right from the center of Europe with local experts and solutions, as well as the ability to provide benchmark and sample parts quickly or on a flexible schedule. Visits of the Metal Adoption Center are possible on request, as the center is located 45 minutes west of Munich. The regional sales team is able to support with advice on all aspects of bound metal (and sand) 3D printing.
“Our centralized location outside of Munich gives manufacturers the opportunity to see metal binder jetting in action and work closely with our expanded metal team on precision metal parts projects,” said Eric Bader, Managing Director, ExOne GmbH. “This expansion is supported by increased interest in metal binder jetting in Europe as the technology matures.”
