Symposium on Standards Development for Cement and Concrete for Use in Additive Construction
December 7 - December 8$75
The Symposium on Standards Development for Cement and Concrete for Use in Additive Construction to be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Monday and Tuesday, December 7-8, 2020. Sponsored by ASTM Committees C01 on Cement and C09 on Concrete and Concrete Aggregates, the symposium will be held virtually via WebEx.
The objective of the symposium is to present potential test methods for additive construction which may be standardized through ASTM’s standards development process.
Topics for this symposium include:
Measurements of early-age material properties (prior to initial setting)rheology (viscosity and yield stress)
kinetics of hydration
Measurements of hardened material propertiescompressive strength
Measurements of structural performance confirming sufficient structural performance (strength and serviceability)
conventional methods vs. reinforcement techniques (fibers, 3d-printed materials, rebar)
current code adaption
design validation testing reinforcement adhesion
bending and shear on beams
lateral forces of columns
lateral and shear forces on walls.
The language of the symposium will be English.
