Elnik Systems joins TRIDITIVE SCALADD Consortium for AM production
The MIM equipment manufacturer will provide TRIDITIVE with metallurgical assistance

TRIDITIVE, a Spain-based 3D printing company and services provider for final parts, announced a strategic collaboration with Elnik Systems, a manufacturer of first and second stage metal injection molding (MIM) equipment. The agreement will provide TRIDITIVE with metallurgical assistance as well as turnkey production services in the SCALADD Consortium.
The SCALADD Consortium, formed between TRIDITIVE, the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the University of Oviedo MediaLab, is aimed at offering the largest AM platform for mass production based on TRIDITIVE’s AMCELL technology. AMCELL, for its part, is marketed as the first hybrid automated industrial AM machine in the market and is able to produce up to 10,000 final parts per month out of metal or polymer materials.
The recent agreement with Elnik Systems will extend the SCALADD Consortium, adding access to Elnik’s state-of-the-art metal injection molding debinding furnace equipment as well as other high-tech machinery to enable the use of metal AM for production applications.
“We have a clear objective Working with Elnik Systems: to demonstrate that AM is ready for mass manufacturing in metals using AMCELL automated machine” commented Mariel Díaz Castro, CEO of TRIDITIVE.
The AMCELL platform is powered by the company’s cloud-based EVAM Software, which offers remote monitoring and control and optimized production. As the company explains, AMCELL is capable of 24/7 production and requires minimal human intervention, two features which are conducive to lowering production costs. AMCELL units are networked through the SCALADD AM platform to scale up serial production.
As Castro said: “Companies that do not want to invest in 3D printing capacity or do not have yet the knowledge themselves, can then purchase production capacity on one of the AMCELL machines in SCALADD Production hours.”
The participation of the two universities in the consortium has a slightly different end goal. Together, TRIDITIVE and the educational institutions are working to establish and implement new training methods surrounding AM production with sights on training new professionals to work in the industry.
In December, ECRIMESA Group, a manufacturer of steel and aluminium parts by investment casting and MIM, also joined the SCALADD group.
