Carbon PA Composite 3D Printed Hook by Roboze Lifts 170 Kg

Can a Carbon PA composite 3D printed hook lift more than 170kg? The answer is yes, and Roboze, a leading Italian firm in the field of 3D printing and additive manufacturing, set out to prove it in the video above.

The 3D printed hook was produced using Roboze’s Carbon PA composite material, which is a mixture of nylon 12 and chopped carbon fiber. It was used to lift an increasing number of loads.

The video proves the mechanical resistance to traction and has been conceived to show the strength of Roboze’s “super-polymers”. The hook, designed to produce critical breakage points, was printed in Carbon PA, one of Roboze most widely used materials, together with metal replacement high performance polymers such as PEEK and PEI.

In the experiment the number of heavy batteries lifted, each one weighing 42kg, is gradually increased from 1 to 3 inside a basket weighing 45 Kg.
