BEAMIT and Praxair offer integrated AM solution for aerospace clients

Italian metal additive manufacturing services provider BEAMIT has announced a partnership with Praxair Surface Technologies, a specialist in advanced coating solutions. The partners are combining their respective offerings to provide customers in the aeronautics sector with a broader range of services, as well as 3D printed parts with improved performance and extended lifespans.
With over 20 years of experience in manufacturing, BEAMIT has become an important manufacturing partner to the aviation industry. Today, the company has over 30 metal additive manufacturing systems, which it leverages to service clients in aerospace, as well as the automotive, energy and motorsport sectors. Recently, the company announced the purchase of an additional 15 metal AM systems from SLM Solutions.
Praxair, for its part, is a Linde company that offers a portfolio of high-performance coatings for the aviation and energy industries, among others. By combining Praxair’s coatings solutions with BEAMIT extensive metal additive manufacturing capability, the companies are effectively enabling their respective clients to reduce their supplier portfolio and streamline their manufacturing chains.

BEAMIT currently holds accreditations for the aerospace industry, including AS 9100 and approval from the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP).
