BCN3D partners with 3Dörtgen, expands into Turkish market

Barcelona-based 3D printer manufacturer BCN3D has signed a distribution agreement with Turkish company 3Dörtgen, furthering its global distribution market. 3Dörtgen now has distribution rights within the Turkish market for BCN3D’s Sigma and Sigmax 3D printers as well as 3D printing materials and accessories.

Istanbul-based 3Dörtgen was founded in 2013, becoming one of the first 3D printing shops in the region. Over the years, the company has grown substantially as it now comprises a marketing team, technical service department, warehouse and more. The company is also known in Turkey for opening the country’s first 3D Printing Cafe, which enables makers or interested customers to use 3D printers for free in a casual environment.

Through the partnership agreement, BCN3D will leverage 3Dörtgen’s prominent position in the Turkish AM landscape to bring its 3D printers to a broader client base. The Barcelona-based company, which has maintained its open source philosophy, has expanded its market in recent months, with a distribution partnership in Poland and a successful $3 million funding round.
