Replicatore.it, the leading Italian-language additive manufacturing industry news website, reported today that AMVentures and Friuli Innovazione are launching the AdditiveStartup Italia initiative to collect, select and enhance the best innovative business ideas and startups that develop services, products, technologies, applications and materials in the field of additive technologies.
“We believe AdditiveStartup Italia to be a strategic initiative to identify entrepreneurial ideas and startups in the additive manufacturing sector and support them in their development – explained Vito Chinellato, AM industry veteran and now AM Ventures Procurator for Italy – The synergy of skills with the Friuli Innovazione business incubator will offer innovative startups and entrepreneurial ideas an opportunity to evolve and connect with AMVentures and other investors for their specific segment.”
For Italian startups – that often suffer from lack of efficient funding and excessive bureaucracy – it is an opportunity to present themselves to a pool of qualified investors and seize interesting networking opportunities with the world of industry and research, development and growth, as well as benefit from targeted 6-month tutoring support by AMVentures.
The initiative is the result of Friuli Innovazione’s multi-year collaboration with EOS Group. In 2017 yhe partnership led to the launch of Additive FVG, a program that brings additive technologies to the attention of manufacturing companies in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of Northeastern Italy.
Additive FVG develops three main areas: Knowledge, Enterprises and Business Ideas, “AdditiveStartup Italia” focuses on the third part of this program, and precisely on the ideas of to support the creation of new businesses with additive business proposals.
“With AdditiveStartup Italia we want to create an Italian ecosystem dedicated to new ideas and startups in the additive sector. The collaboration with AMVentures represents a unique opportunity to accelerate the development of Italian startups “explains Fabio Feruglio, Director of Friuli Innovazione. “AdditiveStartup Italia increases the skills offered by our Certified Incubator, verticalizing them on a rapidly developing area such as additive manufacturing”.
The AdditiveStartup Italia initiative is sponsored by AITA – Italian Association of Additive Technologies.
