Additive Industries expands into Chinese market with Sinsun-Tech collab
Beijing-based Sinsun-Tech signs Agency Agreement with Dutch metal AM company

Dutch 3D printing company Additive Industries has signed an Agency Agreement with Beijing-based Sinsun-Tech Corporation Ltd. Through the agreement, Sinsun-Tech, a supplier of metal AM and metal treatment solutions, will become Additive Industries’ official agent for the Chiense market. Together, the companies aim to advance metal 3D printing within China.
Additive Industries, maker of the MetalFAB1 3D printer, recently made its first steps into the Asia Pacific region with the opening of a regional Process & Application Development Centre in Singapore. Now, it enters the vast Chinese market—in good hands.
Founded in 2018, Sinsun-Tech is a young company, though it is backed by the extensive experience of its founders, who know the Chinese market for metal additive manufacturing and thermal processes very well.
This knowledge and its connections within the Chinese market will enable Sinsun-Tech to support Additive Industries in the development and adoption of metal AM in China’s aerospace, automotive, medical and general machine building industries.
Wang Jun, General Manager of Sinsun-Tech, commented on the partnership, saying: “We focus on professional customers for industrial metal additive manufacturing solutions, and based on the experience and market knowledge we have gained over the years, we are well positioned to introduce Additive Industries and the MetalFAB1 system especially in the aerospace domain where most of the current additive manufacturing experience is found. We are looking forward to work with Additive Industries and develop our commercial strategy with regards to metal 3D production solutions for aerospace as well as other industrial markets.”
Daan Kersten, Co-founder and CEO of Additive Industries, added: “With Sinsun-Tech, we add an experienced partner to our network that will work with us to identify and manage these opportunities that will contribute to our accelerated growth.”
Over the past couple of years, Eindhoven-based Additive Industries has expanded significantly, establishing partnerships within the UK and Ireland, Spain and the United States. With its continually growing global network, the company aims to accelerate metal additive manufacturing around the world.
