Addition Design & Research offers 1-day introductory training course on 3D printing
Non sales, non lecture course helps to make informed decision on AM adoption

Addition Design & Research, a company that specializes in providing end-to-end advanced design and manufacturing solutions using additive manufacturing and 3D printing technologies, is offering a new one-day training course for companies looking for opportunities to learn about 3D printing and its relevance to their business in a non-sales, non-lecture setting.
With a fully impartial approach, the purpose of the course is to offer a realistic, interactive one-day event for attendees to investigate if, when and how 3D printing affords real opportunities for their business.
The Addition Design & Research training course has been specifically designed to allow attendees to decide for themselves if any of the additive technologies are relevant for them. All of the sessions will provide a grounded, realistic approach that remains interactive throughout the day, providing overviews of the different additive processes and materials, their benefits and the challenges involved with integration into existing workflows. Application areas and what 3D printing needs to work will also be addressed.
AM dos and don’ts
Unlike other company-driven similar initiatives, the AD&R 3D Printing Training course will not preach at attendees about what they should be doing with 3D printing nor wax lyrical about 3D printing as a technology that can solve every manufacturing problem. It will not lecture attendees but rather provide an interactive environment that allows delegates to explore if 3D printing has the potential to help them grow their business.
In order to dispel many of the existing myths and preconceptions around 3D printing technology, AD&R instructors will allow attendees to understand how 3D printing is being used in different industry sectors and realistically investigate the opportunities and the limitations of 3D printing for attendees’ businesses.
The first Addition Design & Research training course will take place at the Advanced Manufacturing Park Technology Centre in Sheffield on 20th September 2018. Interested parties are invited to contact the organizers to book a place on the training course or to find out more.
