Add TIPE 3D Printing, industry’s first all-female conference, to your calendars

Event will be held virtually on January 27 and 28, 2021

AM organization Women in 3D Printing has done some seriously amazing work over the years: highlighting the accomplishments of women across AM and giving them a platform through which to connect, as well as providing insights into the industry’s diversity through its regular DfAM reports. Now, the group is preparing to host the additive industry’s first all-female agenda of AM speakers at the upcoming TIPE 3D Printing conference.

The TIPE 3D Printing conference will be held virtually on January 27 and 28, 2021, and will feature over 40 presentations from AM industry leaders across the aerospace, medical, consumer, automotive, industrial and non-profit sectors. The all-women conference panel will represent a diverse array of organizations and companies, such as America Makes, Boeing, Ford, Cummins, HP, Xerox, Carbon, EOS, the US Army, RMIT, University Federal de São Paulo, LEO Lane, Wikifactory, STEMConnector, AM-Cubed, MakeLab and Additive Integrity.

Notably, Women in 3D Printing has partnered with five leading companies in the AM space, enlisting them as platinum sponsors for the conference. Nora Touré, Founder of Women in 3D Printing, said: “We are proud to welcome TRUMPF, MatterHackers, HP, Dassault Systèmes and GE Additive as the five Platinum sponsors to our first annual Women in 3D Printing conference, TIPE 3D Printing. We thank our platinum sponsors for supporting our mission of promoting and encouraging women in additive manufacturing.”

“As we all work towards a future of equity and inclusion in additive manufacturing, it is our responsibility to support organizations who are leading by example. MatterHackers has been involved with Women in 3D Printing since 2017,” commented Mara Hitner, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at MatterHackers. “I personally get so much out of their networking events and panels. We are honored to be partnering on exciting desktop 3D printing content which will move the industry forward, and to support the diverse voices of the TIPE Conference.”

The two-day conference will focus on a selection of topics relevant to AM under four expert-driven tracks: Technology, Industry, People and Economics. Panelists will highlight case studies and AM user applications, as well as discuss the future of the industry and, of course, those who are shaping it.

“The TIPE 3D printing conference will provide a disruptive platform to inspire and support not only women in 3D printing, but all innovators across our 3D printing community and many other global industries,” added Ramon Pastor, global head of HP’s 3D Printing and Digital Manufacturing business. “There is immense strategic value in the topics represented by TIPE, and how a diverse workforce will help accelerate the growth and maturation of 3D printing and digital manufacturing around the world. We are proud to support an event that fosters diverse and inclusive perspectives, and closely aligns with HP’s own mission to positively impact people, the planet, and the communities we serve.”
