Stay up to date with everything that is happening in the wonderful world of AM via our LinkedIn community.

For the first time in India, WOL3D is bringing the 3D printing experience to consumers with the launch of its new, environmentally-friendly, experience center in Mumbai. The state-of-the-art center makes high-end AM technology more accessible, enabling anyone to touch, feel, learn about and experience this futuristic technology that can be easily used in their everyday lives.

WOL3D has been leading the 3D printing revolution in the country with its mission to make 3D printing accessible, affordable and, simply put, super exciting for everyone. The experience center is an extension of its commitment to put India on the global 3D printing map, giving customers access to a range of products and services for both, commercial and personal use. Here, you can get up close to a wide range of state-of-the-art 3D printing machines, get a peek into how 3D objects are actually made, and even make your own.

Visitors can make virtually anything out here – be it something for their homes, merchandise for their brands, custom figurines and collectibles, a dress or a piece of jewelry, prototypes of products to mass manufacture, architectural structures, medical models, or just something out of the imagination. It’s also perfect for on-demand and customized needs.

“We have an experienced team to guide you, breathe 3D life into your vision, and answer your questions. All of this happens keeping sustainability at the center, with biodegradable plastic filament used as the core manufacturing material. The center is equipped with solar panels and runs entirely on clean energy, further minimizing its carbon footprint,” said WOL3D Co-founder and Director, Rahul Chandalia, who has been widely recognized as the gamechanger of 3D printing in India.

“Though still at a nascent stage, 3D printing has rapidly gained momentum in India, especially after the pandemic,” he explained. “3D printing technology is exciting, and almost like magic, but is also intimidating from the outside. Our aim is to educate India on how 3D printing can benefit people, and how they can use it themselves in their everyday lives. I believe the future is going to be 3D printed, but we want to get that future to you today.”

From cement walls and lamps to wearable fashion and medical products, WOL3D collaborated with experts around the country to show what AM technology is capable of. Vistors can browse through and take home a 3D printer starting from Rs 15,000 (about $200) or a 3D pen starting from Rs 900, from a wide range of options meant for personal or professional use. Those who want to experiment with making a 3D printed product or are interested in learning more about this technology can attend a crash course, accompanied by seeing first-hand how it works in real life.
