3Diligent’s digital manufacturing network comprises nearly 250 locations

Digital manufacturing company 3Diligent has announced a milestone in its global network expansion. As of today, the company has qualified and networked nearly 250 contract partners across six continents and over a dozen countries. The manufacturing network comprises 1,200 machines.
The expansive digital manufacturing network will enable 3Diligent to deliver parts and products to its clients while cutting down on delivery times and shipping costs. In addition to keeping production as localized as possible, the network means that 3Diligent clients can benefit from a single platform for tracking and managing digital manufacturing projects across their business.
“The promise and power of digital manufacturing—especially 3D Printing—lies in its ability to quickly and easily get the same part made in different places using the same 3D design file,” said 3Diligent CEO Cullen Hilkene. “We are proud to have qualified and networked expert manufacturing partners around the world who are capable of making this vision of the future a reality.”

Supply networks and webs such as the one offered by 3Diligent are becoming increasingly common in today’s manufacturing world. Distributed digital manufacturing enables companies to produce parts with more flexibility, securely sharing digital files with production partners for on-demand manufacturing. The approach is particularly useful for spare part and small batch production.
“3Diligent provides companies a partner and ready-made fabrication network to deliver around the globe for their customers and their own internal operations,” added Hilkene. “This powerful combination of cutting edge equipment, material breadth, geographic coverage, and consistent quality makes 3Diligent a category of one among distributed digital manufacturing companies.”
3Diligent’s contract partners offer a broad range of digital manufacturing services, including various additive manufacturing processes, machining, casting and injection molding. This array of capabilities as well as its global network enable the company to meet demands for prototyping, production, or end-to-end product development in a range of industries, such as automotive, medical, aerospace, energy, design and more.
Most recently, 3Diligent revealed a collaboration with commercial cladding company Walters & Wolf to 3D print a series of exterior curtain wall nodes for the new Rainier Square Tower in Seattle.
