3D-Hybrid Introduces CNC-to-AM Adapter Tool to 3D Print Metal Parts

Los Angeles based 3D-Hybrid introduced a new revolutionary tool that aims to simplify metal additive manufacturing (AM) by turning existing CNC (metal-cutting) machines into metal arc-welding, laser metal deposition or cold spray 3D printers. The tools lower the cost of metal AM, increase speed, and offer new capabilities like multi-material parts.

While other such tools already exist in the market for high-end systems, what makes 3D-Hybrid so attractive is that its Arc tool will start at only $50,000. In addition the tool enable multiple metal deposition technologies working electric (wire arc welding), optical (laser metal deposition) and kinetic (cold spray) power.

Different tools for different jobs

Just like using different cutting tools for different metals, 3D-Hybrid offers different printing tools for different applications.
