Women in 3D Printing event issues call for speakers

Stay up to date with everything that is happening in the wonderful world of AM via our LinkedIn community.

After a successful inaugural edition last year, TIPE 3D Printing, the AM industry’s first event featuring all female speakers, is preparing to launch its second edition. The virtual event will span three days, from January 18th to 20th, 2022, and will bring together speakers and guests from around the world to discuss the state of AM with a focus on women in the industry.

While the purview of TIPE 3D Printing is broad, looking at all corners of AM where women are working and shaping the industry, it focuses on a few key areas, what organizers call the TIPE pillars: Technology, Industry, People and Economics. Like last year, there will also be a fifth category specifically tailored to Youth. This year, the online event will also include a Career Fair.

“With a mission of ‘Promoting, supporting, and inspiring women using Additive Manufacturing technologies,’ Women in 3D Printing seeks to foster a more diverse industry,” says Women in 3D Printing founder Nora Toure. “Within six years of existence, Women in 3D Printing managed to grow from a simple blog to one of the largest Additive Manufacturing communities worldwide, with over 75 chapters in 30 countries. The TIPE 3D Printing conference is built by and for this community of 23,000+, and features an inspirational all-female agenda of speakers over a 3-day global conference, including a Career Fair. TIPE | 2022 welcomes everyone and we certainly hope to see you at the 2nd edition of this global virtual annual meeting that is now becoming a Movement.”

Presently, Women in 3D Printing’s TIPE conference is seeking speakers for the upcoming event. Those interested can send an application to the organizers before November 30, 2021 for consideration. There are also several sponsorship and volunteer opportunities with TIPE 3D Printing. Those interested in attending the event—which last year welcomed over 1,600 attendees—can now register for the free three-day virtual conference.
